What shoe size should I choose for the best fit?

Our shoes generally run true to size.

Do you stock larger sizes than 41?

For the first batch we only offer sizes 36 up to and including 41. It is our definite ambition to produce more other sizes in the future.

Are the shoes handmade?

Yes, the shoes are handmade by very talented people who work in a family factory in Portugal. They are put together completely by hand, and/or by human-operated machinery. The finishing processes are done 100% by hand.

Means The shoes are made with stock leather and by hand and that means that there can be some imperfections. These imperfections are not defects, but rather a reminder that the shoes are produced by hand and with integrity.

If you feel there is an imperfection which prevents you from wearing the shoe, please contact us.

What kind material you work with?

We work with stock leather. So left-overs from large productions.

Despite the fact that we look very carefully at the quality of the pieces of leather we work with, it is possible that there is sometimes an unevenness in the material. The pieces of leather we work with are often cow or goat leather. All are pieces left over from larges productions of other brands.

How to take care of the shoes?

Our shoes are made for regular life, to dance, to cycle, to go shopping, to work…. Areas to avoid when wearing Signed by You shoe’s: the Alpes, Amazonia, Sahara, Tundra, punk concerts, bowling alleys, Rotterdam Marathon, underground strikes, festivals.

Avoid prolonged exposure to sun and water. Like all beautiful materials, the leathers require care. This is important if you want your shoes to be in perfect condition to maintain the leather and the suède.

The leather part can be nourished with a generous greasy cream that will give it a wonderful complexion. If you want to give the colour a boost, then you should apply a coloured shoe polish.

For the suède part it is important to waterproof the material before the first use and then frequently repeat this if you want to keep your shoes in good condition.

Your shoemaker will certainly have something to help you with this. Avoid prolonged exposure to sun and water.

After frequent walking on the shoes, the soles will wear out. From a sustainable point of view we highly recommend to consult your shoemaker on the corner on time. These are the experts in the field of repair and will do everything they can to keep your shoes beautiful.
